Bienvenue au 1er festival de musique et danses swing à Aix en Provence !
Aixtraswing, non profit association
The Spirit of Swing Festival is organized by Aixtraswing, a non-profit association from Aix en Provence.
The association was born in 2014 from the will of a group of friends passionate about Jazz and Lindy hop (the couple dance of the 1930s) and still led by its founders Lila and Louis, teachers of the local scene.
The objective of the association: to introduce the Dance and Jazz Culture that swings to as many people as possible!
Aixtraswing teachers and volunteers work all year round to offer members of the association and the general public the opportunity to create social ties and intergenerational diversity around friendly events:
- Swing dance classes and workshops
- Gigs
- Discovery initiations to Swing dances
- Free dance practices
- swing balls
- Open air swing sessions (street dances halfway between the concert and a real show that surprises the pedestrian but always with a smile)
- Conferences and meetings around jazz and of course
- Aix en Provence International Swing Festival
